Monterey Park Moon Festival

On September 15-16, 2018, our club went to the Monterey Park Moon Festival held in

the city park in Temple City, CA. From the hours of 2pm till 11pm, the club members

made LED Balloons, some with foil characters inside, others in the shape of stars and

hearts. This time only selling balloons, we were surprised to see the great amount of

families and children crowd around us to get the light-up balloons unlike the other

events we have attended before. Surprisingly, we were able to sell over 150 balloons at

this festival in the span of only 2 evenings. However, there were some problems where

there were some language barriers, so some of us had to learn the basics of Chinese to

sell here. Overall, it was a fruitful exchange of balloons and happiness throughout.
